Now, for this week, I am happy to be posting my first blogger introduction and the blogger I am featuring just so happens to be on one of my favorites.  I am going to let Erin tell you about her site, How to Nest for Less, and I am sure you will enjoy it just as much as I do!  Take it away, Erin…

Hi Everyone! My name is Erin and I’m the girl behind
How to Nest for Less.

I’m so glad that {the other} Erin is letting me share my little blog with you today at Freshman Friday! I’ve always been a HUGE fan of Home Savvy A to Z and am excited to connect with her followers and make some new friends along the way!

So, how about we start with a little introduction…

I’m a wife & momma to a 4 year old daughter who is the light of my life. My hubby and I met back in high school and have been {MADLY in LOVE} ever since. I just turned 30 this past year (eek!) and decided it was time to get CREATIVE again.

See, I was a Fine Arts Major in college. I have a background in Graphic Design and am now an Art Director here in St. Louis. So yes, I work full time at a very demanding job, have the hubby & kid, and blog in my free time. Some people may call me a bit crazy, but I LOVE {and need} to stay busy and create new things.

I started How to Nest for Less back in Mary 2011 to document my DIY parade of crafts, home decor, recipes and refurbished furniture. I was trying to “nest for less”, hence the name of my blog.

And I’ve been quite busy creating these past 7 months…

One of my first projects was giving my daughter’s bedroom a makeover, including a stenciled accent wall.

And a fabric scrap wreath for my daughter’s bedroom door.

Oh, and this Anthropologie-inspired lamp shade for her desk.

Since I was beginning to take over the dining room with my various craft projects, my hubby let me convert the extra bedroom into an office/craft room. I’m a sucker for color, so this yellow stenciled room is perfect for me. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s getting there!

And I’m a penny pincher! How about quick & easy interchangeable iPhone covers using scrapbook paper and a clear phone case? LOVE this. I have a Valentine’s Day version on my phone now :)

Oh, and I mentioned refurbishing furniture. One of my favorites was transforming my brother’s bedroom set from traditional to modern!

I’m also partial to this baby crib makeover. I think it went from 70s drab to funky & fab!

Whew! Project and photo overload?

Well, if you’re ready for more, I would LOVE for you to visit my site:

You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Google+.

Erin, thank you SO MUCH for having me visit for the day! I truly appreciate you and can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2012!

Much love to everyone,
and hope to see you around!

See, I told you she is great!  Would I ever lie to you? Please make sure you stop by Erin’s site to check out more of her fantastic articles and show some blog love! We all love our GFC and Facebook friends, right? Now, let’s party.  Remember, Freshmen Friday is a little different than most blogger parties!  The rules are:

The rules are:

  1. Freshmen Friday is a party designed for linking directly to your homepage.  I picked the maximum number of characters allowed by my linky tool, so you have 99 characters to share your website name and whatever else you can squeeze in in 99 characters!  Maybe a description of your site, i.e. “Home, Decor, Recipes, etc.”  Anything (appropriate) is fare game!  Feel free to shamelessly promote your site or business directly.
  2. I would love for you to become a Google Friends Connect follower of my site IF you like what you see of course.  :)
  3. If you would like to “like” my Facebook page, you can do so by clicking here (though it isn’t mandatory).
  4. Visit your fellow partiers, share the comment love, and become followers of sites you enjoy!
  5. I would really appreciate you linking back to this party and/or telling your friends about it!  The more the merrier right?!?
